Greetings G.U.R.L.S. ROCK Launch Event Registrants:
Thank you for your interest in G.U.R.L.S. ROCK SUMMIT and our LAUNCH PARTY CELEBRATION from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 8th at the Coliseum Lexus of Oakland.
We're excited to be able to provide a sneak preview of our Aug. 28 summit during this celebration and informational evening. You also will be able to receive summit registration discounts, exciting giveaways and door prizes.
The launch party will be a great opportunity for parents, potential sponsors and community-based organization and program leaders to learn how to partner with us for the summit.

In August, we are expecting 75 young ladies to participate in the summit, which will include programming that focuses on health, science/technology, life enrichment skills and avoiding domestic violence, coupled with career and educational advice and special guest speakers.
Specifics about the Aug. 28 G.U.R.L.S. ROCK Summit – A unique program about and for girls, project G.U.R.L. is a game changer that provides:

A one-day experiential learning event for girls age 12-19.

A unified interactive learning experience for our girls and the community.

A unique program focused on the “village” uniting to support our girls.

A program that trains the trainers and unites community leaders.
A Collaborative Program for Change: We are not talking about saving our girls; we are involving the girls in defining and redefining their own destiny. It is a day of action, not words.
Our one-day event allows girls ages 12-19 to:
Grow: Personal growth by exposure to new life lessons, mentoring relationships and subject matter.
Unity: Participants gain the value of unity and a safe zone to learn and explore in a “girl-focused” environment.
Respect: Activities that nurture and foster respect for self, others, community.
Leadership: Participating girls will experience leadership skill development.
SUCCESS: Our program will focus and champion success. Failure is not an option and mediocrity is not the norm. High-level achievement will be highlighted through experiential connections from participants and one-on-one opportunities with special guest speakers.
